6 volumes: Ideal for tone on tone (1+2 ratio).

12 volumes: Works for both permanent coloring (1+1 ratio) and tone-on-tone (1+2 ratio).

24 and 36 volumes: Ideal for permanent coloring (1+1 ratio).
